Concrete Driveways, Patios & Slabs in El Paso
Whether you're replacing a broken driveway, adding a backyard patio, or pouring a pad for a new shed, we handle the job from tear-out to final finish. Every project starts with a visit to look at the site, talk through what you want, and give you a clear written estimate.
When El Paso Homeowners Call About Concrete
- Cracked, sunken or broken sections — Trip hazards on a sidewalk, a driveway panel that has dropped, or slabs breaking into pieces are common reasons to repair or replace.
- A driveway that's worn out — Heavy staining, crumbling edges and old patches make a home look tired — especially if you're preparing to sell.
- More usable backyard space — A patio slab gives you a clean, level area for seating, a grill or a future patio cover.
- A base for a shed or structure — Sheds, gazebos and storage buildings need a level, properly prepared slab underneath.
Our Concrete Services
- Driveways — New driveways, widening and full replacements, graded to drain away from the house and finished to suit the look of your home.
- Patios — Backyard slabs for outdoor living, with broom or smooth finishes. We'll talk through size, shape and drainage before pouring.
- Sidewalks & walkways — Front walks, side-yard paths and connections between driveway, gate and patio — level and safe to walk on.
- Shed & equipment slabs — Pads for sheds, gazebos, AC units and storage, sized for the structure and prepared on a compacted base.
- Removal & replacement — Breaking out and hauling away damaged concrete, then re-preparing the base and pouring new.
How the Job Works
- Site visit & estimate — We look at the area, measure, check slope and access, and explain whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
- Demo & haul-off — Old concrete or debris is broken out and removed from your property when the job calls for it.
- Base preparation — The ground is graded and compacted, forms are set, and reinforcement is added where the project needs it.
- Pour & finish — Concrete is placed, leveled and finished, with control joints cut to help guide where cracking happens.
- Curing & walkthrough — We explain how long to stay off the surface and walk the finished work with you.
Repair vs. Replacement — and Honest Expectations
- Small, stable cracks can often be cleaned and sealed. Sections that have sunk, shifted or broken apart usually need to be removed and replaced.
- All concrete can crack over time. Good base preparation, reinforcement and control joints help reduce and guide cracking — no contractor can honestly promise crack-free concrete.
- Ground conditions vary from lot to lot across El Paso. We look at your site's drainage and soil during the visit instead of assuming one approach fits every yard.
- Pouring in summer heat takes planning — crews typically work early in the day so the concrete can be finished properly.
- Cost depends on size, thickness, demo and haul-off, access for equipment, finish and reinforcement. We give you a written estimate after seeing the site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you remove the old concrete?
Yes. Removal and haul-off of existing concrete can be included in your estimate when you're replacing a driveway, walkway or slab.
Can my cracked driveway be repaired instead of replaced?
Sometimes. Hairline and stable cracks can often be sealed. If panels have sunk, lifted or broken into pieces, replacing those sections usually lasts longer. We'll tell you which we recommend and why.
How soon can I drive on new concrete?
Foot traffic is usually fine after a day or two, but vehicles should wait longer. We'll give you specific timing for your project and the weather at the time of the pour.
Can you pour a slab for a shed I'm buying?
Yes. Tell us the shed's dimensions and where it's going, and we'll size and prepare the slab to match.
